MQ Gravity Lines is using a large amount of NinjaTrader’s processing

Some NinjaTrader users have noticed that MQ Gravity Lines is using a large amount of CPU, and perhaps preventing NinjaTrader from opening charts. Most users do not have this issue, and we’re still researching why some users experience this issue. We’ve discovered, at least for some users, that the problem is with using a cloud synchronization tool at the same time as using NinjaTrader. Specifically, OneDrive appears to be a common denominator for many of the users with this issue. NinjaTrader support has indicated that using OneDrive at the same time as NinjaTrader can create issues.

To test whether OneDrive may be causing this issue if you’re experiencing similar slowdowns, try temporarily disabling OneDrive before running NinjaTrader 7 or NinjaTrader 8 and see if the issue is resolved. For more information about why OneDrive may cause problems with NinjaTrader, and how to temporarily disable it, see this knowledge base article.

OneDrive syncing can create problems in NinjaTrader

If you’ve had this issue, and disabling OneDrive resolved it, please send us a descriptive support email to let us know. You can ask that the support email be forwarded to John.

Also, if you’re experiencing a performance issue with MQ Gravity Lines and you’re not using OneDrive, please send us a descriptive support email with a request to direct it to John. We’re working on trying to identify potential causes for the issue in case there are instances where OneDrive is not being utilized.
